Company History

 

1993-1999: O.K. IN, a. s.

In 1993, the company O.K. IN, a. s. was established. It originated as a joint enterprise between the German company Heinrich Nickel GmbH and the Czech company Konstruktiva. From the start it was involved in technical administration, primarily of commercial real estate. In 1996 the German shareholder acquired the remaining share in the company and O.K. IN, a. s. became part of the international construction group VINCI.

 

1999-2002: O.K.IN., s. r. o.

In mid 1999, the legal form of the company was changed from a joint stock company to a limited liability company. During this period, as facility management started to develop in the Czech Republic, the company began to strengthen its market position.

 

2002-2005: OKIN FACILITY CZ, s. r. o.

In December 2002, Mgr. Michal Jelínek was appointed as the new General Director and proceeded to lead the company in a new direction. Besides creating a new company structure, including management changes, he focused the company on providing comprehensive facility management services and to the thorough use of know how within the VINCI group. In mid 2003 the company was renamed OKIN FACILITY CZ, s. r. o. The year 2003 also saw the company’s entrance onto the Slovak market through the use of an organisational unit.

In 2004 the company diversified its portfolio and began providing services in the area of business process outsourcing. In conjunction with its first contract, the division OKIN OUTSOURCING was established, whose customer became one of the largest global telecommunications operators and Internet connection providers - Verzion Business.

 

2006: Change of owners at OKIN FACILITY CZ, s. r. o.

The year 2006 heralded an important change within the company – a new owner. The construction group VINCI decided to sell off all its European subsidiaries not engaged in construction.

The existing management was offered to buy up the company and thus OKIN FACILITY became a purely Czech firm.

 

2007-to the present: OKIN GROUP, a. s. – partner for enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe.

The company management have decided to use its facility management services to expand into the market of Eastern Europe. They therefore resolved to prepare for a transfer towards a holding arrangement for the company, and in mid 2007 established the company OKIN GROUP, a. s., which merged all previous divisions and subsidiaries. At the same time OKIN FACILITY CZ s. r. o. was dissolved. In the Czech Republic, services are provided by the company’s individual product divisions, while abroad, subsidiaries or joint enterprises have been set up, whose names are determined by the type of services they offer.

OKIN FACILTY UA became the company’s first foreign subsidiary, established in the Ukraine in mid 2007.

In 2007, OKIN GROUP entered the strategic partnership with the group RPG Real Estate, and founded the joint enterprise RPG Služby, which administers the property portfolio of RPG RE, numbering more than 44 thousand flats and dozens of commercial properties in the Moravian-Silesian Region.

At the beginning of 2008, OKIN GROUP recorded a further addition in the form of the training agency OKIN EDUCA, which specializes in the training and personal development both of employees within the OKIN GROUP, as well as other external clients.

The year 2008 also saw the foundation of the subsidiaries - OKIN FACILITY RU in Russia and OKIN FACILITY BG in Bulgaria. Both companies concentrate on providing services of integrated facility management.

Currently, the OKIN GROUP is planning another expansion into the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
